The Photo Voice Project is a cross-cultural youth effort that began in the spring of 2008 to examine tobacco industry targeting.
Youth representing the African American, Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI), and Lesbian/Gay/Bi-Sexual/Transgender (LGBT) communities were brought together to participate in a Tobacco 101 and Photo Voice training. They then worked within their respective groups identifying communities to document using photo voice mapping.
On Saturday, October 11, 2008, a Celebration was held for the youth to present their final projects. You can see the Celebration’s program here. Please look below for the youth’s presentations and Google Earth maps to view.
